God IS With Us!!!

HI Everyone,

I am listening to this song. I am going to post it on line. It is by MercyMe. I can't like stop crying and being joyful about it this morning! However, Since I don't actually have the CD (I downloaded the song legally off the internet) I don't actually have the specific name of the individual who wrote it-the lyrics on line just say "MercyMe" without more specification at this point!00so if you own the CD would you please give me the lyricist's name(s) so I can doccument it a little more proper;y? Thanks! All emphasis in bold or italics is strictly mine!

Who are we--- that You would be mindful of us?
What do You see--- that's worth looking our way?
We are free--- in ways that we never should be.
Sweet release--- from the grip of these chains.

Like hinges straining from the weight,
My heart no longer can keep from singing.

All that is within me cries
For You alone be glorified:
Emmanuel, God with us.

My heart sings a brand new song.

The debt is paid, these chains are gone.
Emmanuel, God with us.

Lord, You know--- our hearts don't deserve Your glory;
Still You show--- a love we cannot afford.

Like hinges straining from the weight,
My heart no longer can keep from singing.

All that is within me cries
For You alone be glorified:

Emmanuel, God with us.

My heart sings a brand new song.
The debt is paid, these chains are gone.
Emmanuel, God with us.

Such a tiny offering
Compared to Calvary;
Nevertheless,
We lay it at Your feet
.
(2x)

All that is within me cries
For You alone be glorified:

Emmanuel, God with us.

My heart sings a brand new song.
My debt is paid, these chains are gone.
Emmanuel, God with us.

I hope by emphasizing things I have communicated the sheer joy that my heart feels in response to hearing it and echoing it back in agreement! May you all do the same, saying, "All that is within me cries For You alone be glorified: Emmanuel, God with us. My heart sings a brand new song. The debt is paid, these chains are gone. Emmanuel, God with us."

More later today, Lord willing! (if I have time!) :)
