Access To Enter In!

Hi Everyone,

How beautiful it is that we have access to God--that we can go directly to Him, and not be under the law of the Old Testament, where the Jewish people had to have a human priest to intercede on their behalf. The priest could only go in once a year on the Day of Atonement into the Holy of Holies--the innermost part of the temple where God's presence dwelt. But when Jesus died, the curtain that separated the Holy of Holies from the rest of the inner court was torn from top to bottom, (demonstrating that God Himself tore the curtain, because a human would have tore it from bottom to top.) The tearing of the curtain signifies that there is now direct access to God

Matthew 27:50-51 "And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split."

we do have a Priest--THE HIGH PRIEST ABOVE ALL NAMES THAT HAVE EVER BEEN OR WILL BE GIVEN----JESUS CHRIST-----WHO NOT ONLY INTERCEDES FOR US, BUT MADE THE SACRIFICE ONCE AND FOR ALL SO THAT WE MAY HAVE A RELATIONSHIP TO GOD! JESUS CHRIST IS THE PERFECT MEDIATOR! His work is complete and accomplished....no more sacrifice for sin needs to be (or can be) made!

Hebrews 4:14-16 "Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

WHAT A PRIVILEGE WE HAVE AS CHILDREN OF GOD! LET US NOT TAKE IT FOR GRANTED.......BUT APPROACH THE THRONE OF GRACE WITH CONFIDENCE IN OUR TIME OF NEED!
