How HE Loves Us!!!!

Hi Everyone,

Are you rejoicing in the depths of God's amazing love for you today? I am-it is amazing!

It's amazing that God hates our sin, and deeply loves us beyond expression--the expression that was shown to us through the death of His beloved Son on our behalf on the cross when He took our punishment upon Himself.

When I showed my cardboard testimony at the banquet on Tuesday night, there was a song playing....and I realized that it was the same song that was a song we sang during worship at the "God IS" House of Hope conference on June 8, 2010---so early on the journey of all of this when it all began. I guess giving my cardboard testimony during the song made me almost want to cry tears of joy--in awe of what the LORD has done!

So here are the words to the first song

How He Loves Us

Artist: David Crowder Band
Song: How He Loves

He is jealous for me,
Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden,
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realize just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.

And oh, how He loves us so,
Oh how He loves us,
How He loves us all

He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves.
Yeah, He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves.

We are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,
If grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking.
So Heaven meets earth like an unforeseen kiss,
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest,
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about, the way…

He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves.
Yeah, He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves.

Here is another song written about God's love-I guess it just came to my mind--we used to sing it at Moody during chapel---would be a neat one to sing at my home church....or in Mexico (Melanie R. Do you know this one? :) I believe it was sung during the Welsch revival.

"Here IS Love'
Words: William Rees (1802-1883), verses 1-2, William Williams possibly wrote verses 3-4; translated from Welsh to English by William Edwards in The Baptist Book of Praise, 1900.

Music: Robert Lowry, 1876

Here is love, vast as the ocean,
Loving-kindness as the flood,
When the Prince of Life, our Ransom,
Shed for us His precious blood.
Who His love will not remember?
Who can cease to sing His praise?
He can never be forgotten,
Throughout Heav’n’s eternal days.

On the mount of crucifixion,
Fountains opened deep and wide;
Through the floodgates of God’s mercy
Flowed a vast and gracious tide.
Grace and love, like mighty rivers,
Poured incessant from above,
And Heav’n’s peace and perfect justice
Kissed a guilty world in love.

Let me all Thy love accepting,
Love Thee, ever all my days;
Let me seek Thy kingdom only
And my life be to Thy praise;
Thou alone shalt be my glory,
Nothing in the world I see.
Thou hast cleansed and sanctified me,
Thou Thyself hast set me free.

In Thy truth Thou dost direct me
By Thy Spirit through Thy Word;
And Thy grace my need is meeting,
As I trust in Thee, my Lord.
Of Thy fullness Thou art pouring
Thy great love and power on me,
Without measure, full and boundless,
Drawing out my heart to Thee.

Awesome content to the "Here is Love" song especially! Remember, and never forget his great love demonstrated through the gift of JESUS CHRIST for YOU today!
