Many Will See It

Hi Everyone,

I love this Psalm! I am sure I have quoted it before. But it is such a picture of what the Lord has done in my life---and the praise is all His!

Psalm 40:1-5

"I waited patiently for the LORD;
he turned to me and heard my cry.

He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.

He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear
and put their trust in the LORD.

Blessed is the man
who makes the LORD his trust,
who does not look to the proud,
to those who turn aside to false gods.

Many, O LORD my God,
are the wonders you have done.
The things you planned for us
no one can recount to you;
were I to speak and tell of them,
they would be too many to declare.

It is also interesting that verses 6 and 7, which follow, but that I did not quote here, are where the "sacrifice and burnt offering you did not desire" are cross referenced back to and I just used that in my previous post in the Hebrews 10 passage. (And no, I didn't look at a commentary to figure this out, it was just the timing of the two blog posts for today.) It is pretty cool when God does things like that!

Lord, may many see and trust the Lord because of what You have done in my life and the lives of Believers all over the world.

BLESSED IS THE MAN WHO HAS MADE THE LORD HIS TRUST!
