It is NOT Okay or Acceptable........

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday I went to take the bus to do an errand and two young adults came walking by. And when one said that the other was their "girlfriend", I didn't think anything of it. I mean the one really did look like a guy at first glance. I guess I am kind of naieve about these things.

Then a lady who was also waiting for the bus who picked up on something that I had not and starts chattering away at the top of her lungs, "Hey, there is nothing wrong with that--they are adults and if they want to live that way and it makes them happy, go for it!"

And I am thinking "What in the world are you talking about?"

Uggg--well eventually I figured it out-----because of another interaction between the two young adults that I am not going to mention-----it was really disgusting to see!

These two young adults had chosen to "exchange the natural for the unnatural"

God has a lot to say about the sin of homosexuality---God hates ALL Sin it is a violation of HIS perfect and Holy character. God does not say to us, like that woman at the bus stop "that if it makes you happy, do it," regardless of WHAT sin it is!

Concerning homosexuality, it is NOT "okay" or "acceptable" in God's eyes. It never was in the days of the Bible and it isn't now! God does not have our world's same "attitude of tolerance" to our sin! Of those that practice these things God has said the following---and this is NOT exhaustive:

Romans 1:18-31 "The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.0For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

God says the OPPOSITE of our world system! God does NOT say "if it feels good or makes you happy, do it!"

Paul says,in Romans 2:16b, "God will judge men's secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares."

So, at the same time that I was disgusted with what I saw today, I also realized that these two young women were also prisoners held captive to their sin.....and that they need to come to the place of trust and repentance in Jesus Christ alone----and that although they are now prisoners, NOTHING is impossible with God.

Ephesians 5:1-20 tells us as believers how we are to live in this world.

"Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a man is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said: "Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead and Christ will shine on you." Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."

I guess I have used this passage several times----but it is so PRACTICAL and filled with the TRUTH!!!!
